Professional Experience

Below you find a listing of all the companies I worked for over the past few years, with a short description of my work. All roles leaned heavily on my technical/development expertise within SAP. The list of individual tasks is too long, but during these years I gained experience in:

  • supporting client in all stages of a SAP project, from blueprint to implementation, migration and during go-live and support
  • implementation methodologies ASAP and Agile & Scrum
  • supporting upper management, managing/safeguarding the complete development effort, guiding junior developers and being hand-on as senior technical SAP consultant
  • managing and staffing of on-side and off-side (outsourced) development teams, dealing with multicultural resources and all challenges this may entail
  • the latest development (ABAP) techniques (like the use of Classes, OOP, etc)
  • the latest migration techniques / tools (like EMIGAL, LSMW, flat files data loading, etc)
  • developing a set of tools to streamline and fasten the overall development effort
  • a vast range of interfaces to and from SAP using a broad range of technologies (like IDEX, DATEX, EDI, EDIFACT, IDOC, BAPI, flat files, ABAP proxy, XI/PI, etc)
    • IS-U / T Market Message related interfaces (like INVOICE, MSCONS, UTILMD, etc)
    • Banking interfaces (using Multi Cash, flat file, etc)
    • Cash Desk
    • etc.
  • the use of user exits (like custom exits, CRM/CIC-events, ISU Management of Event, BAdI, BDT, Account Determination, SAP Enhancements, etc)
  • having a good understanding about the mayor SAP modules, as specially IS-U / T, functional areas from a customizing point of view, but besides IDEX do I not consider myself a functional consultant in these areas (FICO, COPA, SD, MM, PP, FICA, EDM, DM, Billing, Invoicing, etc)
  • etc.
